B.S. Degree in Special Education K-12. (Psychology Minor) from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. (1977) 4.0 GPA. A course in Specific Learning Disabilites at FAU in Boca Raton, FL. (1978). A Barry university course in psychology. I have taught for 40 years.

Experience

I taught one year (ELEM.) in IN. Then I taught Reading at South Florida State Hospital. I taught Special Education for 20 years in the Broward County, Forida School System. (All Elem. and one year Middle School) I taught students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Down's Syndrome, Emotional Difficulties, ADD and ADHD, and Gifted and Talented. I tutored for 33 years in a Coral Springs Clinic. I have tutored privately and at a Clinic for the past 33 years. I have taught some adults and High School Students. The thing I am most proud of is teaching a 44 year old man how to read. He was on a 1st grade level and read Stephen King novels after 3 nights a week of tutoring for 3 years! I tutor in homes or libraries. I am flexible regarding tutoring times. References upon request. 12/13/17

I read my Kindle, sing at Karaoke, Swim, and Walk. I love movies and the beach. I have done Comedy and love music and art. I have some friends I have known for 40 years here in Florida. I have a dog. My family and I do many things together as I have an extended family here. I teach reading, writing and math Gr. 1-8. I also teach study and organizational skills.
